Centralia, located 82 miles from Portland, Oregon, and 82 miles from Seattle, makes the city an idea location to visit all of Southwest Washington. A visit to Mt. St. Helens and the new Volcano Center is a day trip. The city also has activities for all ages from antiques, factory outlets, museum, historical murals, an original 1854 Blockhouse (built for safety during the Indian Wars in the 1850's) and a one-room schoolhouse. Exit 82 on the Interstate has 500 motel rooms.
